Recent Activities
November, NO Club meeting due to Thanksgiving. However, I hear there are a Car Show or 2 in the earlier part of that Month.
October 21st, Saturday, Cruise to the John Hovas Man Cave "Hemi Hidout" in Brookshire, Texas! I have invited 10 Tbird Clubs in Texas and Louisiana
& some 500 people to join us this year! Last year we had 6 Tbird Clubs represented and 250 people. More info on this to come, but it is set.
September 30th, 5th Saturday NOON. Potluck Lunch at Danny & Kathy's Home again! They have invited us back! It has been suggested that we make
another visit to a Seniors Living Facility prior to Lunch at a location in the general area of their home. In the event of inclimate weather on
that 5th Saturday of the Month, we will have our PotLuck in their big garage, with tables, fans, you name it.
June 24, 2023 9AM – 11AM Gateway Classic Cars – New Braunfels. They will provide free coffee, donuts and display our cars. They will
contribute $10 to STTC for our favorite charity for every CAR (not just every Tbird!) we bring. So let the BIRDS fly the coup for a day! The
information regarding lunch and the 8AM meet up time and location has been provided to all STTC members via email. Read that information.
MAY 27th CRUISE HAS BEEN CANCELLED! A SATURDAY 11AM SOCIAL IS ON!
Due to responses that have been received the majority of STTC Members have other activities that day that prevent them from making this Cruise. So
Plan B is in effect. There WILL be a Social Luncheon at NOON Saturday, May 27th. That will be at the Little Italy Restaurant, 824 Afterglow St 78216.
It is behind the Firestone Store on West Ave. I hear they have great food! There is a good reason why we selected this restaurant, and we will
explain that to you at that Lunch.
May 27th, 2023, 10am, Wild Seed Farm Cruise, Fredericksburg. In past years we made this short stop on our way to cruise the Willow City Loop.
Comments have been made that they would have liked to spend more time there instead of the short pit stop we made. We will do lunch first at around
11am at Backwoods BBQ. Then cruise to the Wild Seed Farm where members can spend as much time there as they wish.

August 27th, 2022 Cruise to Panna Maria. Some of the members of the STTC cruised to Shorty's Place north of Hobson, for lunch and then on to Panna Maria to tour and view the 1st Polish Church built in the USA back in the 1800's. The consensus of those on the cruise was that the food at Shorty's was great and so was the service. After lunch we cruised the 10 minute drive to Panna Maria where we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. We were able to enter the air-conditioned Church, and take pix of the interior which is terrific! Then we went over to the gift shop and enjoyed seeing it. There we met a very knowledgeable man who told us a lot about the establishment of the settlement and history of it. He took us to the museum then and showed us around it, explaining even more regarding the settling of Panna Maria. After that, as it was getting quite hot, we decided to get back on the road and head home. The rain we had been having for much of the week off and on did hold off and as you will see in the pix that will be posted in our upcoming newsletter, it was a beautiful day. Those who made the cruise stated that it was a fabulous experience and those who missed this cruise lost an excellent opportunity to learn more about the heritage of the peoples of Texas. On January 22nd, 2022, the South Texas Thunderbird Club held its first Business Meeting of the New Year at the Jordon Ford facility, our Sponsor.
