Wine tasting at Hill Country Wine Works, Comfort, Texas

1. Travel and Lunch

2. As before, those of us in San Antonio will meet at Lowe's Store at the Rim Shopping Center on IH-10 West at 10:15am for those who wish to caravan to Popo's Restaurant. Those who find it easier to travel a different route should plan to meet at Popo's at 11:30am.
   
   Generally, this trip is around 51 miles one way. We will depart Lowe's at 10:45am and travel on IH-10 West to exit 533, Nelson City/Welfare to PoPos Restaurant less than a mile off IH-10 on State Highway 289 for lunch at 11:30am. A reservation has been made for us there. Lunch is planned to be completed by 1:30pm. While at Popo's we intend to hold a very short, informal Business meeting to determine whether or not to do the September Cruise to the Exotic Resort Zoo in Fredericksburg in September. Also, a quick vote on the Club paying the Christmas Party 20% gratuity for the attending members. We should have the use of our Walkie-Talkies at this point for the drive to the Winery.
   
   Following lunch, we will proceed back to IH-10 West and travel about 7 miles to the Comfort exit for Bus. Hiway 87/Front Street. This will take us right to the Hill Country Wine Works. We plan to be at the winery by 2pm.
   
   At the winery there will be snacks along with the various wines which can be purchased individually. Wine generally is priced at $11 a glass whereas Wine Tasting-5 Wines $20 per person.
   
   Since this is not a formal Club business meeting members can depart the winery at any time.
